1941.11 completed the 2nd Hei-class flight training course → posted to 千歳 Naval Air Group (air defense of the Inner South Seas) → 1942.2.1 took off from Roi and shot down one dive-bomber (his first combat) → August Tainan (Taiwan) Naval Air Group (detached to Rabaul; the Solomons air fighting) → December returned to the 〔201st Naval Air Group〕 (air defense of the Marshall Islands) → spring 1943 withdrawn to the homeland → July moved up to Buin again → 1943.12 the 〔331st Naval Air Group〕 (moved up to Sabang) → 1944.3 the 〔202nd Naval Air Group〕 → the 〔221st Naval Air Group〕 (returned to the homeland) → instructor at 〔Tsukuba Naval Air Group〕 and Yatabe Naval Air Group → the end of the war.

Has an anecdote in which a P-38 he had almost shot down was hit by friendly fire from its own wingman, causing two other P-38s to collide in midair
