Born in Kitami; 1939 entered the navy → 1940.11 2nd Hei-class Yokaren (Tsuchiura Naval Air Group) → 1941.11 completed the 12th flight training course at the Oita Naval Air Group and was posted to the Chitose Naval Air Group (air defence of the inner South Seas) → 1942.6 transferred to the 2nd Naval Air Group (later the 582nd Naval Air Group) and returned to Japan → 1942.8 moved up to Rabaul; first victory in the attack on Guadalcanal on 1942.9.12 → air battles over the Solomons and eastern New Guinea until 1943.7 → 1943.6.5 in the interception over Shortland he shared in shooting down 5 dive-bombers and shot down one F4U alone → 1943.7 transferred to the Atsugi Naval Air Group → 1943.11 promoted to petty officer (Flight Petty Officer) → 1944.2 posted to the 203rd Naval Air Group and moved to Shumshu (interception in the Aleutians area) → 1944.6.24 on patrol duty his aircraft stalled and crashed from 50 m immediately after take-off from the airfield; killed
