1938.10 entered as a 3rd Kō-class preparatory flight trainee (the Kō-class Preparatory Flight Trainee Course) → 1941.4 completed the flight training course and was attached to the 〔1st Naval Air Group〕 (Kanoya) → July moved up to Hankou (no air combat) → September back to Kanoya → October transferred to Tainan (Taiwan) Naval Air Group → 1941.12.8, on the first day of the war, strafed the Clark base → 12.10 air combat over Del Carmen (his first score) → 1942.4 instructor at Tokushima Naval Air Group (returned home) → 1943.6 attached to the 〔582nd Naval Air Group〕 and sent to the Southeast Area → the 〔204th Naval Air Group〕 (Buin and Rabaul) → 1943.10.18 and 11.2 shot down three B-26s on each occasion → December the 〔202nd Naval Air Group〕 → 1944.3 Truk → end of May the Biak operation → forward to Yap → 6.18-19 the attacks on the US task force off Saipan (four shot down jointly on the 18th) → July 呉 Naval Air Group (returned to the homeland) → the war ended for him with the 〔332nd Naval Air Group〕 (air defense of the Kure area, flying Zeros and Raidens) → after the war he became a jet pilot in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and was killed in an accident on duty.
