War record

Formed at Okayama, moved from Manchuria→landed near San Fernando Point at the southern end of Luzon at the end of December 1944→until the main American landing (January 1945) its only opponents were anti-Japanese guerrillas→from February it fought US forces in the Balete Pass sector, at close quarters throughout→the main body of the regiment was almost entirely wiped out at Balete Pass; few survived

For more than a month after landing, without adequate tanks, the regiment was occupied entirely with fighting anti-Japanese guerrillas, and did not engage the main American force in earnest until February.

As written in the book. Other sources place San Fernando Point and Aparri in northern Luzon.

The site of its barracks is today Okayama University

This card is made only of facts copied from one book. Only what can be confirmed against a primary source will one day become 🟢. An empty field means the book does not say. Nothing has been filled in by guesswork.
