28 March 1945, completed its formation under the 126th Division and was posted to the border area west of Mudanjiang→9 August the war opened and Soviet forces attacked into the Mudanjiang district→the regiment formed close-assault raiding parties and made night attacks

The record states that, though outmatched in frontline equipment, the regiment attacked Soviet forces with night raids by close-quarters assault squads.
