War record

After clearing hostile forces from the area, went over to mopping-up in the mountains of the north-west→for the operation as a whole the results were 169 prisoners and 260 enemy dead left on the field, against the regiment's own losses of 27 killed and 83 wounded

According to the book, while other units struggled to take the Lang Son and Dong Dang fortresses on the northern front, the sector held by the 62nd Regiment progressed relatively smoothly.
