1945年1月17日 進水→1945年3月15日 竣工→1945年3月、竣工後第十一水雷戦隊に配属され瀬戸内海で訓練に従事→1945年5月、第52駆逐隊（第三十一戦隊）に編入、海上挺進部隊所属となる→1945年7月、回天搭載能力付与の改装を受け、周防灘で回天の各種訓練に従事→1945年7月28日、平郡島沖でF6F戦闘機の攻撃を受け撃沈→1945年7月28日、山口県平郡島沖の伊予灘でアメリカ空母機動部隊艦載機の攻撃を受け沈没。1945年9月15日除籍。戦後1954年9月21日に浮揚・改装され海上自衛隊護衛艦「わかば」として再就役
