1931年10月22日 進水→1932年8月15日 竣工→1941年12月、香港攻略戦に参加→1942年3月1日、スラバヤ沖海戦に参加し、翌3月2日に艦長工藤俊作の指示で「電」と協力しエンカウンター・ポープの生存者422名を救助→1942年10月、ガダルカナル島へのヘンダーソン飛行場砲撃・輸送作戦に従事→1942年11月12-13日、第三次ソロモン海戦で多数の命中弾を受け大破しつつ戦線離脱→1943年3月27日、アッツ島沖海戦に護衛部隊として参加→1944年4月13日、グアム南方でアメリカ潜水艦ハーダーの雷撃を受け沈没、乗員238名全員戦死。1944年6月10日除籍

Two days after the Battle of the Java Sea, on her captain's order, she rescued 422 survivors from sunken enemy destroyers. Her crew is said to have wiped the oil from the British sailors' bodies and given them food and clothing.
