War record

Part of the northern Marianas area group→posted to the air defence of Saipan→after the American landing in June 1944 it was switched to ground fighting, was surrounded in the Mount Tapotchau sector and annihilated (gyokusai) in July

The regiment repurposed its anti-aircraft guns for direct horizontal fire to counter American ground troops and tanks.
