Part of the 3rd Tank Group→January 1942, landed at Singora in Thailand and took part in the Malayan campaign→fought the British 5th Brigade north of Slim River and at daybreak seized the Slim River railway bridge by surprise

The record states that a dawn surprise attack seized the railway bridge, breaking the British force's capacity for organised resistance.
