Part of the 3rd Tank Brigade→January 1945, posted to the Lingayen sector on Luzon→fought American M4 tanks near San Manuel and made a night attack, but was annihilated (gyokusai)
The record states that the regiment used ambush tactics against American tanks, and that these tactics were later cited as a lesson learned.
