1939.10 47th Pilot Trainee Course → posted to the Chitose Naval Air Group → air defence of the Marshall Islands just before the outbreak of war → 1942.2.1 intercepted the US landing force over the Taroa base; his wingman ditched and he himself was hit, landing with his aileron shot away → instructor at the Oita Naval Air Group → end of 1942 the Jun'yo fighter unit → 1943.4 moved up to Rabaul → shot down 2 Grummans in the sea battle off Guadalcanal → moved up to the Buin base, where he was surprised and shot down just before landing, ditching at sea and being rescued by a destroyer → the Solomons air battles until the end of August → September transferred to the 204th Naval Air Group and returned to Japan at the end of the year → 1944.2 transferred to the Yokosuka Naval Air Group → 1944.6 went forward to Iwo Jima; shot down in the great air raid of the 24th, force-landing and being wounded, then sent back to Japan → after recovering, the 1001st Naval Air Group (transport unit) → Fighter Squadron 313 at the Kaminoike base at the end of the war

Was shot down and survived multiple forced landings at sea and instances of being hit
